The ISU VDL bacteriology section handles a variety of specimens from both companion and production food animals. These services include antibiotic sensitivity panels, bacterial identification,Salmonella monitoring, and milk quality testing.
Please note that for samples with inherently high background flora (e.g. fecal samples, swine nasal swabs, oral fluid samples), ISU VDL Bacteriology Section does not pool samples. Such samples are set up individually, reported individually, and charged individually.
Susceptibility tables are now located on the ISU VDL Web Portal under Reports.
