Champions of Care
Dr. Binversie takes excellent care of my animals. She is professional, kind and very knowledgeable.
As a former veterinary technician in the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center, Rachael Rail knows the level of care and compassion the clinicians, staff, and students provide in the Hixson-Lied Small Animal Hospital and the Large Animal Hospital.
Rail is the driving force behind “Champions of Care,” a program that celebrates and rewards excellence in veterinary care in the hospitals. Every month, one individual is selected as the “Champion of Care.”
Dr. Troy is compassionate, interested, curious, timely, flexible, and open to discussions. I could go on and on!
“We wanted to recognize the extraordinary skill, compassion and care shown by the dedicated employees of the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center,” said Rail, now a development officer for the College of Veterinary Medicine.
“Champions of Care” nomination forms are available throughout the two hospitals. Rail has been overwhelmed by the response the program has received. It has validated the level of care provided by the hospital staff.
“I would like to thank all the nominators,” Rail said. “The nominations have uplifted the people in the hospital. I’m so happy to see their reactions when they get recognized.
“I know when I was working in the small animal hospital, I would have loved this type of recognition. It confirms you are making a difference in someone’s lives.”
Dr. ‘t Hoen goes above and beyond to serve our clients, students, staff, and patients. She is patient and empathetic and her commitment to teaching has led to support in the growth and learning of ICU staff and students.
