With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Michelle Kromm is a leading authority on risk management and antimicrobial stewardship in the food system. She has developed strategic partnerships across business, research, and regulatory sectors, driving improvements in poultry health and food safety.
Formerly Vice President of Animal Health and Welfare at Hormel Foods, Dr. Kromm established Food Forward LLC in 2022, focusing on enhancing food system resiliency. A recognized leader, Dr. Kromm’s commitment to advancing public health and animal welfare makes her a vital voice in safeguarding our food systems.
Dr. Kromm is a 2006 graduate of Iowa State University, and received her Masters in Public Health from the University of Iowa that same year.
